LSS SAPU

LSS was founded in 2004 where it provided its services for the security of “Athens 2004” Olympic Games.

LSS focused on the Somali Piracy phenomenon and founded the Special Anti Piracy Unit (SAPU) as a response.

SAPU is made up of  Hellenic Nationality – English speaking professionals, trained in the Special Forces of the Hellenic Army and/or Navy, highly experienced, constantly trained disciplined and trustworthy.

SAPU can operate armed or unarmed, always according to International Law and properly licensed from all parties involved in the Indian Ocean Region and West Africa.

Also, LSS is a signatory company of the International Code of Conduct ICoC,  a member of the Security Association for the Maritime Industry – SAMI and is ISO 9001/2008  certified.

The discreet or apparent presence of SAPU aims at the prevention of open conflicts or warding off pirates where necessary.

Additionally, LSS has all the requested by BIMCO insurance Covers in place and is in full compliance with the latest IMO recommendations.
